Best thing to do to solve your problems...... music

Every time I either get down or have a problem where I can't really talk to people about it, I just plug in my headphones and listen to music. It could be songs from 60's or songs from today, songs usually help me relax and think about nothing. Usually my mind is running a million miles a minute, and when I start to listen to music, it slows down pretty fast. So instead of thinking about a million problems, I focus on one and think about ways to solve it.

So the best advice I can give, is when your in a jam and cant think of how to fix something, listen to some of your favorite music and just forget about everything until the solutions arises on its own.

Swagbucks.com

I recently ran across this really cool site, swagbucks.com. All you need to do is sign up (for free) and do a little searching using there search bar and you can earn swagbucks that will build up for you to buy brand new items, such as: video games, some clothes, books and music. You name it, they have it. All you have to do is search and earn the swagbucks and get those things for free!!

Earth Hour

Earth Hour all started back in 2007 in Australia, when the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature/World Wildlife Fund) had a great idea of shutting all of the main light sources for 1 hour. All this was to bring awareness towards the need to take action on climate change.

This got a lot of attention last year and more than 420 cities participated. These also included major buildings around the world such as: Empire State Building (New York City), Sears Tower (Chicago), Golden Gate Bridge (San Francisco), Bank of America Plaza (Atlanta), and Sydney Opera House (Sydney, Australia). But the list goes on.  And the week leading up to Earth Hour, the website: http://www.earthhour.org/ had over 6.7 million hits.

Including me, 50 million people participated in this event in 2008. And you can bet that i will be doing it again this year. I have signed up on earthhour.org and I'm trying to get the word out before March 28Th. I have emailed the mayor of my city asking him to please read about this event and to see if we (the city) can participate.

But please make sure to get involved in these event, get people, business, and your mayor to shut there lights off for only one hour. This hour can do so many things for everyone around the world.

So make sure you shut all of your lights out at 8:30pm (your local time) on March 28Th.

Hyper Crush

By the looks of it, Hyper Crush is right out of the 80's. But they arnt, they formed in 2006 with just Donnie Fontaine, and DJ/Ketarist Preston Meronie. But they needed a female vocalist, so they brought in there longtime friend Holly Valentine. They are most famous for there 50's and 80's look. They started off just playing at local places in Los Angeles and grew very popular with there myspace ( http://tinyurl.com/bs9xf5 ). On August 31, 2007 they released there first self-released album titled: Mixtape Volume 1. Then in May of 2008, Hyper Crush released The Arcade. But the video wasn't posted on there YouTube ( http://tinyurl.com/bhllcz ) until July 4th and since then the video has received more then 150,000 views. In November Hyper Crush signed with Universal Motown and plan on dropping an album sometime this year.

Personal I have never really liked this type of music; whether it be techno, hip hop, or rap. But with Hyper Crush its totally different. Every time i listen to there songs, I can never put my finger on what type of music this would be called. All I know is that all there songs are very unique and I'm 100% sure that you cant find any other band/songs like Hyper Crush.

Heroes

If you haven't seen this show already, I really recommended you go back to season 1 and watch all the episodes. This show is something like you have never seen before.

The show followers a group of people who try to be normal only to find out that they have supernatural powers.

On Feb 2, volume 4 begins. The last thing we saw was the beginning of the volume where Nathan is speaking to the president (who looks and sounds a lot like President Obama). He tells the president how the people with abilities are dangerous and need to be stopped.

In the commercials for the upcoming episode, we see that the people with abilities are captured and placed into an airplane. After reading some websites, I figured out that the first episode takes place 7 weeks after the 'meeting' and the heroes are trying to get back to a normal life. With Peter being a paramedic, Mohinder being a cab driver again, Matt is working as a bodyguard, and Claire is going off to college. But we find out that the government starts to take the people with special abilitles away, and put into a plane and taken to a Guantanamo Bay type place where they are going to be held.

Overall, this season is going to be bigger and better. There is going to be more in-depth charcters and more action then last season.

Watch Heroes on Monday Feb 2, 9/8c, NBC. And will be on Hulu.com the following day.

Review about Lie To Me

This past Wednesdays was the season premiere of Fox's "Lie To Me". I happened to miss it and watched it on Hulu.com. Let me say, this show was pretty decent. Personally I don't watch that many Fox shows, but it has to do with body language and detectives. Two of my favorite things in the world.

The show follows Dr. Cal Lightman (Tim Roth) and his team of human lie dectctors. And they get called in from the FBI, local police, law firms, corporations, and individuals to solve cases that involve people lying. With some cheesy one liners and some good acting, this show has somewhat a good chance to get a second or third season. But I really think it wont go further then that.

Overall: I give it a 6 out of 10.

Tire Pressure Light

Yesterday morning as I was driving to class, my tire pressure light came on. So I told myself that I would go right after school to the gas station and check which tire was low. Turned out I never did it. Then came along today, light was still on when I was driving to school. Then right after I went right to the gas station. I pulled up to the pump, got out, and started to test the first tire. As I was doing that, another car pulled up right behind me, and his back tire was completely flat. So I told him that he needed it more then me and gave him the pump and paid the 75 cents for him to fill it up.

Moral of the story, no matter how small it may be, try to do a good deed everyday. Make someone feel just a little better.

Hello Everyone

Just starting to get into the bloging ‘world’. I will be taking a few days to get use, and understand how to use this site. It already looks pretty simple, but I want to make sure that I know everything about it. Plus i want to give a few days to spread the word about this. So if I already told to you to come here, tell your friends. I will be posting maybe once a week or maybe twice a week.
